Hazel on White Oak: Long Tables for Gathering
Hazel on White Oak is a finish on solid white oak offered across our rectangular, oval, round and square dining tables. It suits families who host often and want a long, sturdy table built from one of our premium hardwood species.
Hazel tables are made to order, so you choose the length, width and options on each product page. The collection spans long rectangular and oval designs for hosting, along with round and square tables for smaller rooms and breakfast areas.
About the Hazel Finish
- Species: solid white oak, a premium American hardwood with distinct grain.
- Finish: hand-applied stain with a polyurethane topcoat against water, stains and scratches.
- Character: grain and natural color variation are part of solid wood, not defects.
Hazel is one of two finishes on our white oak tables, alongside Sandstone. Rather than describe the color in words, we suggest seeing it on a sample, since white oak grain and room light both shape how any finish reads.
What Size Hazel Table Do I Need?
- 6 ft: seats 6.
- 8 ft: seats 8.
- 10 ft: seats 10.
- 12 ft: seats 12. Lengths run 4 to 12 ft in half-foot steps, with 37, 42 or 45 in widths.
Start with the number of people you seat most often, then check the clearance around the table for chairs and walkways. Half-foot steps make it easier to fit a long table to the room rather than the other way around.
Rectangular and Oval Designs in Hazel
- Rectangular: Allyson, Bailey, Baluster, Farmhouse, Fulton, Heirloom and Trestle Dining Tables.
- Oval: Thaden Oval, Heirloom Oval, Emersen Oval and Fulton Oval tables.
- Compact: Olivia Petite Dining Table for smaller rooms.
An oval table softens the corners of a long room and makes passing dishes a little easier. A trestle or farmhouse base gives a more substantial, traditional look, while the Ava Parsons Dining Table offers a cleaner profile. Pair any of them with a bench along one side for flexible seating.
