Ready to Ship Solid Wood Furniture, In Stock Now

Our ready to ship furniture is a limited selection of in-stock James & James pieces that leave our woodshop within 5 business days. It is for shoppers who have found the design they want and would rather not wait for a made-to-order build.

Quantities are limited and change often, and because each piece is already finished, Ready to Ship items can't be customized.

How Fast Does Ready to Ship Furniture Leave the Woodshop?

  • Timing: Ready to Ship pieces leave our woodshop within 5 business days.
  • Availability: every piece is in stock, and quantities are limited.
  • Turnover: what's available changes often, so check back if a design is gone.
  • Delivery: white-glove delivery across the contiguous 48 states.

These are pieces we have already built and finished, so there is no build queue to join. Once your order is placed, it is prepared to leave the woodshop within 5 business days. Our white-glove team carries it in, places it and assembles it where needed, so a new table or bed is ready to use the day it arrives.

What You Can Expect from Every Piece

  • Designs: familiar pieces from our catalog, such as the Farmhouse Dining Table, Everly Side Dining Chair and Olivia Arch Bed.
  • Material: solid American hardwood; about 95% of our pieces are knotty alder from the Pacific Northwest.
  • Finish: hand-applied stain sealed with a polyurethane topcoat that helps protect against water, stains and scratches.
  • Character: grain, knots and color variation are part of solid wood, not defects.

Ready to Ship does not mean a separate line of furniture. Pieces in this collection carry the same solid wood character and hand-applied finish as the rest of what we sell, simply in a size and finish that has already been chosen. Read each listing closely so you know exactly which dimensions and finish you are getting. Expect up to 1 inch of variation in measurements, as with any solid wood piece.

When Ready to Ship Is the Right Choice

  • Tight timelines: a move, a new home or a gathering on the calendar.
  • Decided shoppers: the listed size and finish already suit your room.
  • Single additions: a chair or bed that fits alongside furniture you own.
  • Not the right fit: if you need a different size, finish or option, choose a made-to-order piece.

The trade-off is simple: speed in exchange for flexibility. If the listed finish works with your floors and the size fits your space, you get a finished piece far sooner. If you want to compare finish tones first, our finish color guide describes each one in detail.

  • Check often: new in-stock pieces appear as others sell.
  • Ask us: free 30-minute design consultations by phone or video can help you decide.
  • Pay over time: Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout.
