There is a quiet comfort in a home that welcomes you the moment you step through the door. The Heirloom Bench, handcrafted in a length, is designed to offer that exact sense of invitation. Whether placed in a busy entryway to ease the transition of coming and going, or pulled up to a family dining table for casual gathering, this bench brings both purpose and character to your daily routines.
Thoughtful Design & Material
Crafted from solid alder, this bench features our distinct Charred Ember finish, a rich tone that highlights the natural grain and inherent warmth of the wood. The design is defined by beautifully turned legs, offering a nod to classic furniture making while remaining versatile enough for modern living. It is sized thoughtfully to fit comfortably in smaller spaces, hallways, or at the end of a bed without overwhelming the room.
Built for Everyday Living
We believe furniture should be lived in, not just looked at. About the Charred Ember finish
This Heirloom Bench is finished in Charred Ember on Alder. An intense, near-black brown that anchors a space with dramatic elegance. Its depth creates a sophisticated statement.
- Wood: Solid knotty alder sourced from the Pacific Northwest, the wood behind about 95% of our pieces. Its grain and natural knots stay visible under the stain.
- Finish: hand-applied stain sealed with a polyurethane topcoat that helps protect against water, stains and scratches.
- Character: grain, knots and color variation are part of solid wood and make every piece its own. Knots on top surfaces are filled.
- See it first: stain looks different in every room's light, so we recommend ordering a sample before you decide.

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
