A Thoughtful Foundation for Your Treasures
Every home needs a place for the things that tell your story—favorite books, cherished photographs, and collected objects. The Boyd Shelf offers a beautiful, grounded presence on your wall, bringing the quiet strength of solid wood into your daily living space. Handcrafted with care, this shelf is designed to be both a functional storage piece and a warm, visual anchor for any room.
Crafted from Solid Oak in an Oat Finish
We build the Boyd Shelf from solid oak, selected for its enduring strength and beautiful, prominent grain patterns. The Oat finish is a light, natural tone that highlights the wood's organic character without overwhelming it. This soft, warm hue allows the natural beauty of the oak to shine through, making it a versatile addition that complements both modern and traditional spaces.

About the Oat finish
This Boyd Shelf is finished in Oat on Oak. A light, golden natural finish that showcases the authentic beauty of oak. Subtle and transitional.
- Wood: Solid oak, with prominent, expressive grain that gives each piece visible movement and texture.
- Finish: hand-applied stain sealed with a polyurethane topcoat that helps protect against water, stains and scratches.
- Character: grain, knots and color variation are part of solid wood and make every piece its own. Knots on top surfaces are filled.
- See it first: stain looks different in every room's light, so we recommend ordering a sample before you decide.

Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
