Our Most Loved Dining Tables, Chairs and Beds
Most Loved is a small collection of the James & James pieces customers return to most: the Allyson, Farmhouse, French Country and Olivia Dining Tables, the Everly and Quinn Dining Chairs, and the Olivia Arch Bed. These are our most loved furniture designs in solid hardwood, gathered on one page for anyone who wants a confident place to start.
Four Dining Tables Customers Keep Choosing
- Allyson Dining Table: a rectangular design built for everyday family meals.
- Farmhouse Dining Table: a longtime favorite for gatherings large and small.
- French Country Dining Table: a softer, traditional take on the dining table.
- Olivia Dining Table: a design that anchors the wider Olivia collection.
Each table is built to order in our Arkansas woodshop from solid American hardwood, then finished by hand with a stain sealed under a polyurethane topcoat. That finish helps protect against water, stains and scratches, which matters on a surface that sees homework, holiday dinners and everything between. Grain, knots and color variation give every top its own character.
What Size Dining Table Do I Need?
- 6 ft table: seats 6.
- 8 ft table: seats 8.
- 10 ft table: seats 10.
- 12 ft table: seats 12.
- Widths: rectangular lengths run 4–12 ft in half-foot steps, with widths of 37, 42 or 45 in.
Start with the number of people you seat on an ordinary night, then decide how often you host more. Half-foot length steps let you fit a table to the room rather than forcing the room around a standard size. If you are deciding between two lengths, a free 30-minute design consultation by phone or video can help you check clearance before you order.
Chairs and a Bed to Round Out the Home
- Everly Side Dining Chair: a customer favorite for lining both sides of the table.
- Quinn Dining Chair: another well-loved option to pair with any of the four tables.
- Partner-made: our dining chairs are made by Amish and Mennonite partner woodworkers in the US.
- Olivia Arch Bed: brings the Olivia design into the bedroom.
A table is only half of a dining room, and the Everly and Quinn chairs are the pairings customers come back to. Choosing an Olivia Dining Table in the dining room and the Olivia Arch Bed upstairs is a simple way to carry one design language through the house without matching every finish exactly. Chairs and tables also do not need to share a stain; a slight contrast often makes the room feel collected over time.
