Whether placed in a quiet study, a busy living room, or a dining space, this versatile shelving unit provides an intentional place to display your favorite books, treasured collections, and everyday essentials.
Crafted for Real Life
We believe furniture should be as functional as it is beautiful. The open design of the Boyd Shelf keeps your space feeling light and airy while offering sturdy, reliable support. By pairing solid hardwood shelves with a robust steel frame, we have created a balanced piece that stands up to the routines of daily living while adding a refined, grounded character to your home.
Honest Materials, Enduring Quality
Every Boyd Shelf is built to order by skilled craftsmen who understand the unique character of natural wood. Our Customers Love Us
"I could not be happier with the level of customer service James & James provided. Also on an earlier order with the table, I made a mistake in the order and they went out of their way to make it right."
Solid hardwood furniture, made by hand in Arkansas since 2011
James & James is an American furniture brand founded in 2011 in Springdale, Arkansas. We design and build custom furniture in our Arkansas woodshop, using solid American hardwoods — knotty alder, red oak, and black walnut. Inside Our Arkansas Workshop
Solid American Hardwoods
Every piece begins with premium American hardwoods — knotty alder, white oak, and black walnut — hand-selected, dried, and processed in our Arkansas facility before a single cut is made.
Precision-Shaped Components
Legs and pedestal bases are shaped to exacting specifications in our Arkansas woodshop, then hand-inspected and refined by our craftsmen before they ever reach the assembly floor.
Built by Hand & Made to Order
Each piece is built one at a time by our artisans to your specifications, using solid hardwood construction and time-tested joinery designed to hold up for generations of real family life.
Hand-Finished for Life
Our in-house finishers apply your chosen stain and protective topcoat by hand, ensuring even color, rich depth, and a durable finish that ages beautifully with use.
